Local Taxes

All store prices include GST Goods and Services Tax. There are no hidden surprises at Checkout. A link to a downloadable and printable GST receipt/invoice is provided automatically by email once a purchase is completed

Payments

We offer two options for payment and you can select from those at check-out. Please note that if you decide to pay by internet banking then we will allow you 48 hours to complete that process. NZ banks now process online transfers 7 days a week so weekends are included in that 48 hours. If full payment has not been received after that time has elapsed then we will cancel your purchase without further warning

Coding and adaptation - Electronic Modules ECUs etc

By purchasing any electronic module the buyer acknowledges that the part may need coding, removal of "Component Protection" or in other ways specialist attention to match to a particular car. That work may need to be carried out by a specialist auto-electrician or a main dealer and will usually incur extra costs. VAGParts is in no way responsible for any such costs nor in fact do we provide any assurances or undertakings as to compatibility with any particular vehicle or model of vehicle

Condition of Goods - Warranty

New parts are sold and warranted according to standard NZ consumer legislation

Used parts are examined visually and then tested, if it is at all possible to test. In the case of electronic components we put all cars through a diagnostic scan using VAG-COM or other diagnostic tools and a copy of scan data is retained. If an electronic or electrical part shows any evidence of not being in full working condition or not fit for purpose then we do not offer it for sale

Warranty on any used part is strictly limited to "not dead on arrival". Please remember that used parts are exactly that, and will usually display some signs of wear and tear or of having already been fitted to a vehicle

Returns Policy

Please take utmost care to be sure that the part you are buying is correct for your vehicle. We would rather help by answering your questions than have you buy a part that does not fit correctly

There are no refunds or returns for parts ordered incorrectly, or in the case of "buyer's remorse". All used parts are security marked prior to despatch and photo records are also retained

If despite our very best efforts you believe that a part we have sold you is defective or does not match description then please do not hesitate to get in touch by email or in Live Chat and we will set things right

Should any issue arise as to whether any part(s) supplied match the description shown in this online store or whether the parts are or were supplied in properly functioning condition then the seller shall in the first instance have the right to instruct the buyer to return the goods to the address shown on the packaging and on the downloadable invoice in order that the goods can be inspected by the seller. The return of goods shall be at the buyer's cost

Tampering with goods in any way such as dismantling, opening up electronic modules, or any interference with our security seals and markings will void all warranty

After receiving and inspecting any goods returned under the paragraph above, and in the event it is agreed that the product was in some way misrepresented and that the goods have not been abused or used incorrectly by the buyer, the seller may at their total discretion either repair, replace or refund the purchase price or part of the purchase price as fair and appropriate

The seller will not under any circumstances be responsible for any consequential losses

Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in New Zealand

As much as possible and practicable our prices usually include "free shipping". This avoids any surprises at checkout and makes the entire process simpler and much more clear for our valued customers

A surcharge may be applied at checkout to shipments to Rural "R.D." addresses, unless the listing specifically states otherwise. Please be sure to provide your correct postal code number, as we will check to be sure that you are not attempting to escape the R.D. delivery surcharge that is applied by NZ-Post. When an R.D. charge applies it will show on your invoice as "Handling"

When free shipping is offered on smaller items weighing less than 3kg your purchases will usually be shipped with standard Tracked NZ-Post. If you have an urgent need then please ask BEFORE buying and we may be able to adjust the price to allow for an upgrade to the slightly faster Courierpost service. Once you have made the purchase it will no longer be possible for us to upgrade in this manner

Delivery time for purchases shipped by NZ-Post will be anything from 1 to 4 working days, but the impact of COVID on courier services can be unpredictable. Refer to the NZ-Post website to check for details of any extra delays in various parts of the country:

As a general rule this store is for New Zealand buyers only, and WE DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY ... for some small high-value items we might make an exception to this rule. Please enquire and if at all possible we will try to help

Drop-Shipping and Product Availability

We are NOT DROP-SHIPPERS. If we are offering a product for sale then it is already on the shelf or in our yard, right here in Christchurch NZ, and ready for prompt despatch

Pickup or Collection

We do not allow pickups or collection and our site is not open to the public. This is an internet store and just like Amazon or Ebay, and particularly in a post-COVID world, collecting goods is a thing of the past. Almost all prices quoted on the store include free shipping in NZ
