Some VW radios, particularly low-end chinese market models, have only a single male FAKRA aerial plug on the rear panel, usually beige. Cars with diversity antenna system have two single female aerial wires coming from the dashboard wiring harness meaning 50% or more of the antenna strength is lost if only one of them can be connected to the radio

** THIS ADAPTER SOLVES THAT PROBLEM BY ALLOWING BOTH OF THE CAR'S AERIALS STILL TO BE USED COMBINED AND SO MAXIMISING THE RECEPTION SIGNAL STRENGTH **

Do not worry too much about the colours of the plugs fitted to the adapter ends. Just inspect your various plugs on radio and antenna wires closely, and compare to what is shown on the photos
