This is a good quality aftermarket copy part. It would hard for it to be any lower in quality than the original genuine Audi part which is very prone to broken latches, so this part is at least as good as the original. I have used these in my own repairs and they have stood up well to normal use, but I still recommend always using them with care and avoiding any rough treatment. It's a good idea to hold the latch in the open position while closing the lid, rather than slamming or dropping it
