BMW MINI R50 R52 R53 COOPER ONE NZ-NEW OEM ALPINE CD53 RADIO CD HEAD UNIT TESTED WORKING 9115661-03
Carefully removed from a 2007 NZ-new BMW Mini Cooper Cabriolet. This is the very final revision of the CD53 style radios and has a number of improvements and enhancements. Although labelled as a "Radio Business CD" it is the same product as the earlier models know as "Boost" and which were built in Japan by Alpine. This example is built by VDO Siemens in Europe and has much better capabilities for playing and controlling MP3 CDs
Tested on arrival to our yard and had no indication of any faults
Unmarked original condition with no marking or scratches to front fascia or other damage. Very minor normal wear. See photos
It had the usual deterioration of the rubber on the volume knob so we have fitted a brand-new genuine replacement button. Those buttons are very expensive from BMW
This NZ-new radio has the correct FM frequency range for NZ and does not require a band-expander

Note: Radios fitted to Mini prior to March 2002 had a different type of rear plug connector, with 7 circular pins. After that date they still looked the same from the front, and were still called CD53, but they used a different rear plug called a 40-pin Quadlock style. The radio for sale here is the later of these 2 types
