Carefully removed from a car that has NOT had any impact or collision damage to rear suspension
From what we have been able to establish this alloy frame was used on Passat for 2006 model year only, before cost-cutting resulted in a move to a steel replacement on new cars. The number for the steel part on a Passat is 5N0505235Q and is the same part number as the steel rear frame on a later Golf Mk5 4M R32 or A3 quattro. R32 and A3 used an alloy part also, until 2008
All of this would suggest that the Passat part for sale here is able to be used on a Golf R32, but at a lower cost. If that's too much uncertainty for you, we have frames removed from R32 and A3 listed elsewhere on the store under part number 1K0505235N
